PUU (meaning ''THE TREE'' in Finnish) is a simple and versatile cat scratching tree where your cat can express their natural behaviour fully by scratching, climbing and resting. The extremely sturdy wooden structure can withstand even rough play and is designed to last a cat's entire lifetime.

Due to its compact size and simplified design, PUU is perfect for placing in front of a window or other visible location where your cat can observe it's surroundings. The large and open resting surface allows your cat to relax and rest at a suitable height.

Thanks to the high-reaching scratching rope, your cat can reach out to scratch the post while stretching properly, which is important for the cat's well-being.

Steps at appropriate distances allow for easy climbing to the resting level. Steps are especially useful if you have a kitten or an older cat who finds climbing more challenging. If your cat likes to jump high, you can also replace the bottom step with a spacer, making the design of the tree even more minimalist.

The lowest step and spacer are both included in the delivery.

100% replaceable upholstery and rope

All RAAPIMA's products entire upholstery and rope's are 100% replaceable, which makes the tree very durable and long-lasting - you only need to replace the worn part with a new one. You can replace the upholstery piece by piece, or if you wish, you can order new upholstery for the entire tree in the colour of your choice. This way, the scratching tree adapts to the interior by simply changing the upholstery!

Thanks to the convenient and durable tape attachment, changing the upholstery is easy and quick. The replacement pieces come with taping, so you just need to replace the worn piece with a new one at home.

The cream coloured rope is made of undyed and strong natural sisal fiber. It's easy to replace without glue with a simple rope attachment mechanism.

Replaceable wear parts for scratching posts

The ropes and upholstery of all climbing trees and scratching posts can be replaced with new ones. Replacing the consumable parts is easy and only takes a moment, and does not require any special tools from you. No glue is needed to replace the rope and upholstery. The cushions are also available as spare parts. You can find all spare parts in the RAAPIMA online store.

Sustainable and ecological materials

The posts are made of Finnish pine and the platforms are made of sturdy birch plywood, and the rope is durable sisal rope. The rope in the black and gray models is hand-dyed. The cushion cover fabric is 100% OEKO-TEX 100 certified cotton. The cushion is flexible and holds its shape well. The upholstery fabric for the posts and platforms of the gray and black scratching tree is 100% recycled needle felt carpet.

Care instructions

You can clean the scratching post from cat hair by vacuuming, using a sticky brush or a magic sponge. If the rope starts to fray, you can safely cut off the excess fibers with scissors, for example. The cushion fabric is removable and can be washed by hand, just like the pillow.

Easy to assemble alone or together

BUUN can be assembled alone, but it is easier with two people. Everything you need for assembly and assembly instructions are included with your order.

Delivery of scratching posts

Raapiman's scratching posts are made to order and shipped within 5-10 business days of your order. The shipment will be delivered to the nearest Matkahuolto office. Ecologically sustainable packaging material is used in the shipment.
